Simon Carter Scores A Triple Play For 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

Live on the Red Carpet for the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles proved to be the latest celebrity landing spot of Simon Carter, the British designer. West End by Simon Carter and the London Chic style made popular by Simon Carter was the lifestyle choice for Emmy Nominee Henry Ian Cusick, who plays Desmond Hume on ABC's LOST. Style Expert, TV Personality, Author and Multi-faceted host, Lawrence Zarian ("THE FASHION GUY") from Entertainment Tonight and TV Guide Channel gives the lifestyle collection two thumbs up and wore a suit by Simon Carter London. Days before the Emmys the a cappella boy group OVERTONE, which was discovered by legendary Director and Actor Clint Eastwood and provided the soundtrack for his movie "Invictus" staring Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, chose both collections for their performance at the 2nd "RUNWAY TO RED CARPET 2010" Pre-Emmy's Style Lounge Preview at the Montage Residencies Beverly Hills.

Simon Carter, the British based designer is almost as hot as the celebrities he dresses. Henry Ian Cusick, the Emmy Nominated actor certainly thinks so. Cusick's rising star power comes from his reoccurring role in 71 episodes of the critically acclaimed series "LOST," where he brought to life the character Desmond Hume. For the Emmy's Live on the Red Carpet, Henry and his actress wife Annie Wood looked to celebrity stylist Phu Styles for guidance.

During a unique preview, StyleshopUSA's private lounge headed by Celebrity Fashion Stylists- Phu Styles, designers debuted styles and options for the imminent Emmy's Red Carpet. StyleshopUSA, are best known for hand selecting the next round of up and coming International brands, featuring "runway to red carpet-ready" looks and showcasing them at the world's most prestigious red carpet and private events such as the Academy Awards, Art Basel, the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix: Designer clients include Heike Jarick (New York/Germany), Addy Van Den Krommenacker (Amsterdam), Rubina Anjum (San Francisco), Men's shoes by Donald J. Pliner (USA), Mens fashion by Simon Carter, (UK) and Mens and Womenswear by Reina, (Kuwait).

While Henry Ian Cusick and his wife arrived on the Primetime Emmy Red Carpet, covering the fashions was ET's own Lawrence Zarian. Lawrence dressed exclusively by Simon Carter, brought his stylish wit and wisdom as one of the Co-hosts of the TV Guide Network's 2010 EMMY ? Awards Red Carpet coverage, as well as recapping all the fashion hits and misses as the new host of the network's "The Fashion Wrap".

"Lawrence's personal style and appetite for trend-right, high quality fashions, exemplifies the modern gentleman. It's a huge compliment," referring to Lawrence's choice to wear Simon Carter shirts and suits for his various segments and at Red Carpet events. "Men and women across the nation and the globe learn from his expertise that they too can be stylish, fashion forward and enjoy the London chic styles offered by Simon Carter," says Tim Danser, VP of Bagir International who represents Simon Carter in the North America.

"For me, there is nothing better than classic elegance and simplicity with a modern twist. Simon Carter's eye for style definitely suits me and fits my lifestyle... Perfectly!!" says Lawrence Zarian.

Simon Carter, the London designer has been burning up the Red Carpet this season at every major entertainment award celebration. Carter's signature London Chic lifestyle has fast become Hollywood's elite brand of choice. High profile celebrities such as Jason Mraz, Alice In Chains, Adrian Grenier, Josh Sussman, Edin Gali, Crispin Glover, Russel Wetanson, Mike Inez, and Dennis Keene opted to wear the collection on one of the most important nights in their life. The 62ndAnnual Primetime Emmy Awards is no exception.

Simon Carter's strong and loyal customer base which already includes Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Robert Downey Jr., Jonathan Ross, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, members of Duran Duran, and the West Ham United football team recently added new admirers with 6 time Stanley Cup winner Glenn Anderson, Paul Raffin, the former CEO of Limited, Jay Godfrey, luxury women's wear designer, and Melissa Gonzalez, the founder of RS Pop Shop. These newest fans attended the brand's 25th Anniversary bash "Celebrate Style Manhattan Chic" which was held at celebrity hotspot, the Atelier Sky Lounge in Manhattan. During this tribute to the King of Cufflinks, the crème de le crème of the fashion industry gathered to experience Simon Carter's unique lifestyle first hand and witness why Hollywood is abuzz about the collection. Hand rolled cigars, delectable bites, signature cocktails, scotch tastings, and a gelato bar all served on Manhattan's highest outdoor rooftop lounge proved to be an evening of good taste, good style, and good fashion. The unforgettable sunset of Manhattan was nature's way of providing the perfect backdrop to the modern style for the fete.

"In the midst of this great recession, men are still shopping. Today's modern man is more educated about fashion. He wants to look good, feel good, and be admired in what he is wearing. Simon Carter is proving to be that reason to buy in this economy," says Danser. "The British are coming and this time the red coats will reel in the strongest patriots looking for freedom in personal style."

Onlineshoes.com and Dr. Martens Team Up for 50th Anniversary Celebration

'Doctor Martens,' 'Doc Martens,' or simply 'Docs,' the original 1460 8-eye lace-up boot is recognized the world around as the style that launched a global phenomenon. Founded in 1996, Onlineshoes.com was the first company to sell shoes online, and Dr. Martens has been one of the company's most popular brands since 2001. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this legendary brand and their ninth year as an Onlineshoes.com partner, Onlineshoes.com and Dr. Martens are giving away two pairs of Dr. Martens 1460 boots to two lucky winners: Simply visit the Dr. Martens giveaway on the Get in Gear blog between October 19 and October 25 to enter.

Following a foot injury suffered while skiing in the Alps in 1945, a German medical doctor, Klaus Maertens, came up with the idea of inventing a soft leather shoe with an air-cushioned sole, a product he developed with an engineering friend, Dr. Herbert Funck. Their comfortable styles were immediately popular with middle-aged housewives looking for relief from foot pain. By the late 1950s, Maertens and Funck decided it was time to expand into other markets, which is how English footwear manufacturer R. Griggs & Co. acquired the global rights to the revolutionary air-cushioned sole. Then chairman Bill Griggs trademarked the soles as AirWair, implemented the signature yellow-stitch welt and anglicized the name to 'Martens,' and the Dr. Martens company was off and running.

Dr Martens' inaugural release is reflected in the name of the Dr Martens 1460 boot: The numbers 1 and 4 stand for the first of April, while the 60 designates the year 1960. Early fans of the Dr. Martens Original 1460 boot included mailmen, policemen and factory workers—hard-working individuals whose jobs required them to spend a lot of time on their feet. (Nowadays, Dr. Martens industrial footwear takes on-the-job safety even more seriously, offering boots and shoes with features such as protective steel toes, slip-, puncture- and heat-resistance, electrical hazard protection and more.)

The 1460 Dr Martens boot is also a mainstay of such youth subculture movements as Mods, Skinheads, Punks, Ska, Psychobilly, Goth and Grunge—not to mention gracing the feet of such memorable superstars of music and screens both large and small, including Miley Cyrus, Robert Pattinson, Adam Lambert, Gwen Stefani, Chris Brown, Emma Watson, Lady Gaga and countless others.

To this day, the 1460 remains women's jackets the most popular men's Dr. Martens style, but it is also offered in fun colors and patterns designed to appeal to women, such as the 1460 W 8 Eye Flower Boot.

"Dr Martens 1460 boots look as great now as they did fifty years ago, and they'll look just as fresh and timeless in the year 2060. As our customers can attest, pretty much anybody at any age can rock a pair of 1460s," says Onlineshoes.com buyer David Waarvick.

About the Contest:
To celebrate this momentous 50th anniversary, Onlineshoes.com will be giving away two pairs of women's or men's Dr. Martens 1460 boots. Simply visit the Onlineshoes.com blog Get in Gear contest to answer the question, "What musical act would you most like to see perform live when wearing your own pair of iconic Dr. Martens 1460 boots?" (200 words max). Entries will be accepted from October 19, 2010, through October 25, 2010; two winners will receive a free pair of Dr. Martens 1460 boots in the size, finish and color of their choice. See the complete contest rules and regulations.

Made in the USA: Fresh Produce Clothing Brings Majority of Manufacturing Back to the USA

After shifting over half of their production abroad, Fresh Produce Clothing has recently brought the majority of their manufacturing back to the USA. The colorful brand is proud to produce over 1.2 million pieces of colorful, casual resortwear at home this year.

Several years ago, Fresh Produce moved about 50% of their manufacturing offshore, but quickly learned manufacturing abroad wasn't always right for their vision. Over the past two years, Fresh Produce has brought almost half of their overseas manufacturing back to the USA. The colorful women's retailer now manufactures 70% of its casual, lifestyle clothing domestically.

"We're happy the majority of our apparel is being made domestically again in California" said co-founder, Thom Vernon. "We learned that producing overseas didn't fit our niche or who we are. There's tremendous value to manufacturing here and now we're using it to our advantage."

Throughout this transition, Fresh Produce found three key benefits of manufacturing right here in the USA that help make this brand so vibrant and unique.

1. Made in the USA Means Just-in-time Manufacturing
Being made in the USA helps build strong partnerships with their 400 Fresh Produce dealers. Fresh Produce gives their accounts the opportunity to watch style trends from consumers and place orders based off sales and interest. When orders are placed, the clothes are made on an as-needed basis and reach the stores quickly. Fresh Produce's 39 retail stores also use this approach to manage and order their own inventory depending on buyer interest. "In these economic times, long-term forecasting has gone out the window," explains Vernon. "Now we can react much more quickly and reduce excess inventories."

2. Made in the USA Means Better Quality Clothing
Every piece is hand-inspected by Fresh Produce's in-house production team to ensure maximum quality control in everything from cutting, sewing and sorting, to fabrication and finishing. This results in better quality clothes that women can wash and wear time after time, while still maintaining the integrity of the original garment. The wearable, classic pieces are made to last, and have proven to be more than just fast fashion.

3. Made in the USA Means it Feels Good to Fresh Produce
For the Fresh Produce team, it feels right to create product here, where they live. Being able to observe the entire process from cutting to sewing to dying and finishing helps the brand keep its unique, fresh feel. Fresh Produce is proud to contribute to the local and national economy with the support of their suppliers, factories, cotton farmers and spinners who are such an integral part of the process. The Fresh Produce team is also proud that being made at home helps consumers feel good about their associations with the brand.

About Fresh Produce Clothing
Fresh Produce Clothing makes colorful and effortless lifestyle clothing and resortwear women can look and feel good in all year-round. With vibrant prints, essential neutrals and breezy yet flattering styles, the clothes help bring out the fresh, fun personalities of women everywhere. Started by Thom and Mary Ellen Vernon with a t-shirt kiosk at the 1984 Olympics, Fresh Produce Clothing is now sold in 39 Fresh Produce unique retail stores nationwide and in 400 specialty dealers across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean as well as Nordstrom's, Macy's Hawaii and Von Mauer. Fresh Produce's easy-to-wear dresses, tops, tunics, capris, skirts, shorts and t-shirts are also available online at http://freshproduceclothes.com/. Outlets of Colorado Host Strike a Pose Models for Resort Vacation and Photo Shoot in Colorado Springs June 8, 9 and 10

With one dog, two and a half days, three photographers, dozens of logistics, 23 youth and adult models, roughly 100 wardrobe combinations and thousands of photographs, the Outlets of Colorado will execute its sixth annual Strike a Pose photo shoot this June in Colorado Springs. The Outlets are hosting a resort-based photo and video shoot for its new line up of 2011 amateur models, the recent winners of the Strike a Pose modeling contest. On June 8, 9 and 10, the models will showcase fashions from designer and brand name retailers, and will model at three picturesque locations. As a part of their extensive prize package, the models and their families will enjoy a resort vacation stay at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a four-diamond AAA rated full service lodge; they will be photographed here and at two nearby attractions: the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center.

The Strike a Pose contest is in its sixth year, and for the first time, scenic Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region will be the backdrop for the promotional photo and video shoots. Another new element is the Strike a Pose dog. "Once again, we have tremendous talent represented in both our youth and adult models, our American Heart Association representative, Samantha, and our first-ever Strike a Pose dog, Maggie." says Peggy Ziglin, Regional Public Relations and Tourism Director for the Outlets of Colorado. "Cheyenne Mountain Resort and Colorado Springs have never looked more green and inviting. The entire production promises to be spectacular."

The Strike a Pose Event Itinerary: June 8, 9 and 10

On Wednesday, June 8 at 10:00 AM, the models will begin their adventure with a welcome brunch at Cheyenne Mountain Resort's signature Mountain View Restaurant. For the duration of the event, they'll be outfitted in fashions from some of the Outlets of Colorado's 300 retail stores, all of which offer savings of 30 to 70 percent off regular retail prices. Featured brands include Pearl Izumi, Banana Republic, Rue 21, Ann Taylor, Oshkosh B'Gosh, Carter's, Guess, Izod, Nike, Under Armour, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.

On Wednesday, the models will be photographed at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort golf course, in the studio at the Dove Conference Room, and at the vast Aquatic Center at the property, with its indoor and outdoor pools, a splash pad and fountain, and a lake with bumper, paddle, and sailboats. The day will continue with more shots around the resort, and conclude with an outdoor terrace fire pit shoot, where roasted marshmallows will be enjoyed at twilight and the moment captured on film. For the evening shoot, the models will be attired in red Tommy Hilfiger wardrobes, in honor of the American Heart Association, the event's charitable partner. Heath Forrest Olson, National Brand Director for Tommy Hilfiger, will fit and style the wardrobes for the shots. Each model will be awarded his or her outfit to keep as a gift from Tommy Hilfiger, the major clothing brand sponsor of Strike a Pose which will be featured in several of the shoots. In addition, each model and sponsor will be given a life-size 'standee' photograph as a keepsake, which will feature images from the shoot of the models wearing their red Hilfiger outfits.

On Thursday, June 9, the models and their guests will enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet at Cheyenne Mountain Resort then embark for the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center and the surrounding 1,350 acre park. The human models, and their canine companion Maggie, will be photographed amid the 300 million year old rock formations, with famous names like Kissing Camels and Balanced Rock. In the afternoon, the entourage will move to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo-- the world's only mountain zoo-- where the giraffe and tiger exhibits will be the backdrop for photos. The day finishes with a barbecue at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort pool deck, where models will relax and visit with invited sponsors and dignitaries.

St. Louis Plastic Surgeon Reflects on ASAPS Statistics and Breast Augmentation as Most Common Procedure

According to the most recent study by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), cosmetic surgical procedures increased almost 9% in 2010 to over 1.6 million total. The survey shows 318,123 breast augmentation procedures were performed, making it the most popular surgical enhancement. The study also reports almost 9.5 million total surgical and non-surgical procedures were performed, an increase of 155% since statistical reports were first conducted. At his St. Louis plastic surgery practice, Dr. Jeffrey Copeland says he has seen a similar increase in the total number of procedures. He adds that as the economy begins to show signs of recovery, people are beginning to desire procedures that will enhance their physical appearance, such as breast augmentation in St. Louis.

Dr. Copeland says the breast augmentation procedure has grown in popularity with both younger women who are looking for a procedure to give them a more shapely aesthetic appearance and body contour, as well as women who may have had children and are looking for a lift and/or augmentation to restore the firmness, fullness and shape they once had. As the number of procedures increases, Dr. Copeland also adds that innovations in techniques and implant types will continue to develop. He says consulting an experienced surgeon whom remains dedicated to contin women's coats uing education and is up-to-date with the latest advancements is crucial to receiving the best results.

Dr. Copeland says the increase in breast augmentation and other surgical procedures including eyelid surgery in St. Louis has been constant at his practice since he first started tracking cosmetic enhancement statistics. Dr. Copeland adds that he believes the level of care and quality of results will only continue to increase as breast augmentation procedures become more and more popular. "Our society puts a premium on the appearance of the female breast, so it is a pleasure to be able to provide effective, safe procedures that allow women more control over that part of their appearance. Fuller breast contours can make clothing and swimwear options easier and more satisfying. We are also seeing an upward shift in the average age of our augmentation patients as well, reflecting the progressive attitude of American females to continue to look fit and youthful as they mature. They wish to look as vital and young as they feel."

Tweet and Ye Shall Receive: Clothing Retailer Helps University Students Meet Philanthropic Goal

In the throes of a devastating nor'easter that brought historic snows to the area, a simple request on Twitter from a college student in Hamden, Connecticut, reached the owner of Source Clothing Company, a nearby women's discount boutique. The tweet was looking for a donation that would complete a service project to benefit people in communities devastated by natural disasters. This yelp for help using social media reached the right people and resulted in a deadline met against the odds.

Students at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut spent the month of October collecting jeans and other denim items for recycling. The goal was to collect 500 items by October 31, for donation to Cotton. From Blue to Green., a national program that recycles old denim, converts it into natural cotton fiber insulation, and donates the insulation to communities in need to assist with building or rebuilding efforts.

By October 30, the students had collected 420 denim items but were still shy of their 500-piece goal. That's when Ashley Benisatto, chapter president of Quinnipia women's jackets online c University's Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), jumped on Twitter and put the call out looking for the 80 pieces of denim that would complete their donation.

Scott Toth, the owner of Source Clothing Company in Cheshire, saw Ashley's tweet and responded immediately from his home in Florida. Ashley and Scott talked about how Source could help, then Scott asked his partner/store manager, Bill Procanik, and their employees to look for denim items that could be donated. That day, despite the historic snowstorm that knocked power out in Cheshire and throughout Connecticut, Source came through, donating the last 80 items that were needed to fulfill Quinnipiac's Cotton. From Blue to Green. goal.

Ready to celebrate their first anniversary, Source Clothing Company offers high end women's apparel, accessories and jewelry at discount pricing. Denim apparel is a major draw for Source customers, and the store carries products from Citizens for Humanity, Diesel, Joe's Jeans, Lucky Brand, Rekd Denim, Rock & Republic, Salt Works Denim, 7 for All Mankind, and True Religion among other brands. To solve Quinnipiac's emergency, store employees selected 80 pair of jeans that were not hot sellers and passed them along for a good cause.

"The timing on this donation is amazing," explains Procanik. "I don't think there are many people left in Connecticut who haven't personally experienced what it's like to be cold after this storm. And all of us at Source have friends who are temporarily homeless due to the power outages. In the midst of our own natural disaster, it feels great to help others in need."

Hyena Cart Fund-Raising Auction Raises $33,000 for Popular DIY Blogger

After a three-day fund-raising auction on Hyena Cart, more than $33,000 was raised recently for popular artist and DIY blogger Ashley Hackshaw, who was diagnosed last fall with an aggressive form of cancer.

After discovering in November that she has Choriocarcinoma, Hackshaw began blogging about her experiences with surgery and chemotherapy on her wildly popular Lil Blue Boo crafting blog.

Soon after, more than 20 of her friends and followers from around the country banded together to organize and launch an online auction on Hyena Cart, with proceeds going to her rising medical bills.

The group of women, calling themselves Team Ashley, launched the auction last week on Hyena Cart, which houses more than 1,000 individually owned online stores offe women's jackets online ring a broad spectrum of products for the family.

Hackshaw is very well known among the DIY and crafting "set" and was named Babble's most creative Mominee. About 150,000 visitors per week read Hackshaw's blog, and she has more than 20,000 enthusiastic friends on Facebook.

Melanie Behles, of Goshen, Ind. and Wendy Russell, of Prosper, Tex., helped organize the auction along with the rest of Team Ashley, gathering about 250 donations from artists and companies all over the country.

Products in the auction included uplifting artwork, jewelry, children's clothing, dolls, toys and more. Hackshaw's favorite saying now is "choose joy," which Behles and Russell said was a theme among many of the donated items.

Behles said that some of the "hot ticket" items on the Hyena Cart auction included two passes to shop early at Matilda Jane's summer art fair sale (and receive 10 free items), a handmade Waldorf doll from Bamboletta dolls and a Choose Joy painting by artist Stephanie Corfee.

"Team Ashley could not be happier to be able to give such a great gift to the Hackshaw family on behalf of her internet fans and family," Behles said.

It is not uncommon for a Steampunk setting to be an alternative version of history, which is why the Victorian era is such a popular choice for the genre. RetailFetish.com Announces Its New Shopping Engine That Simplifies Flash Sale Shopping

RetailFetish.com is now dedicating itself to a business model that helps consumers save up to 80% on online fashion deals. Shopping used to be a simple process. The consumer would go to the store of their choice, select a few items to try on, and then buy the ones they wanted. Over the years this has changed however. People can now shop from the comfort of their own homes, while at work, or anywhere else they can get Internet access.

As a result, businesses have put their wares online and consumers can now choose between millions of companies to do business with. This is great for the consumer because they get to choose the best store, not just the closest. Women can find great womens clothing sales in a matter of minutes and without leaving their home.

Unfortunately, having all of these choices at hand can also be a disadvantage. People now have to wade through hundreds of different flash sale sites just to find the best deals online. A short fifteen minute trip to the local mall to buy a shirt has now turned into a few hours of research online.

Luckily, sites like RetailFetish.com have combined all of these flash sales onto one big flash sale aggregator. These types of websites make things easy on the shopper by placing all of the great deals on one site for the consumer to look through. Some consumers have said that they've saved hours of time and hundreds of dollars by using flash sale aggregators like RetailFetish.com to shop online.

Th women's coats e dancers take on the aspects of wrathful and compassionate deities, heroes, demons, and animals. There are also Atsaras or clowns who move through the crowds mimicking the dancers and performing comic routines in their masks with long red noses.

A major highlight of the Paro Festival is the Thongdrel which is revealed on the last day of the festival. Thongdrel is a huge religious scroll with the image of Guru Rimpoche which is opened in the early morning hours and scrolled back once the sun is out.

"Our customer is busy," said Todd Browne, President of Tom James. "He or she wants to look fantastic in their professional or casual wear, but does not have the time – nor the interest – in shopping. We strike that item off their to-do list."

The sales model Tom James chose back in 1966 was to offer this service face to face in the client's home or office. That personal service is the hallmark of what they do.

"Busy professionals do not want to shop," says Browne. "They do not want to measure themselves. They do not want to click through hundreds of online choices. They want expert advice and they want clothing solutions that are quick, discreet and allow them to get back to their life's purpose. And we are happy to oblige by providing that service."

"'We Come to You?' is so much our hallmark that we've registered the phrase," says Director of Marketing, Michele Stephens. "We've lived that model since 1966. women's coats We were first to do it and we do it best."

Tom James clothier for 30 years, Jim Poston, a Division Vice President of Tom James from Greenville, SC says, "When a guy heads out to buy a suit at a department store, he might find it difficult to get someone who cares about serving him."

"If he finds a suit he likes in his size, he stands for the alterations, and then has to come back in a week or two to pick up his suit," said Poston. "We can short-cut that process."

"We meet our clients at their convenience. We gain an understanding of what our clients like and need and, once the pattern is established, we can select fabric and details and be on our way in just a few minutes. Then we deliver the clothing in person to ensure everything is right. It really is a world class experience."

Often, Browne says, if a company says it operates using old-fashioned standards of personal contact, it's to mask the fact they've not embraced today's world. "Nothing could be farther from the truth with Tom James," he said.

"Our clothiers are armed with iPads to assist them in everything from showing garments to processing orders," said Browne. "Technology is our friend. We just use it to assist the process, saving time for our customers."

It's technology that seeks to not only save time, but give a professional great confidence about their appearance. Poston commented, "Most men are not extremely confident picking out clothing, especially accessories. We bring a knowledge that eliminates the question men often ask, 'Honey, does this go together?'"

Another unique factor is that Tom James owns the factories that make their garments. They own the mills that make the cloth, and they actually employ the people who construct their garments. Most retail establishments cannot say that.

"It's said that imitation is the highest form of flattery," said Steve Nucci, Division President for Tom James. "There are imitators of what we do, but none of them have the depth of clothing knowledge or the control over the construction of their garments. Over 95% of our product is made in the United States by facilities that we own and not sourced overseas."

"We make more custom suits and more custom shirts than anyone in the business."

Tom James offers a full array of professional clothing for both men and women as well as sportswear and accessories. "We offer everything in a man's closet," said Ashley Johnson, a Tom James clothier in Nashville, TN. "It's really a full service approach. And we're a sportswear and custom source for ladies wear, as well."

With literally hundreds of fabric choices, Tom James clients can dress like no one else – another factor that makes them unique. Their clothiers can offer everything from entry level off the rack suits to a truly bespoke product like Oxxford Clothes.

"It's America's iconic brand," said Browne. "Oxxford Clothes is the last 'made-by-hand' suit in the US. Tom James Company owns Oxxford and we can offer it to our clients."

A visit to their website http://www.tomjames.com reveals hundreds of Tom James Reviews. With categories like Fit, Convenience, Service, Value and Expertise, one gets the impression their clients have come to rely on a service that isn't found anywhere else.

While Tom James in enjoying 46 years in the custom suit business, the company name itself is not widely known.

"We don't advertise," said Director of Marketing, Michele Stephens. "If you've heard of us, it's because one of our clothiers has reached out to you, or one of your friends has recommended our services. But you've seen our garments on actors and athletes the world over. Our clothing is our best advertisement. Once you've experienced custom, it's hard to go back to off the rack."

Combine that quality with the personal service, says Browne, "and it's hard to beat the options we provide."

Tom James, buoyed by a 10% growth in 2011, currently has 470 clothiers and is in expansion plans. They are hiring for 65 locations within the United States and internationally and recently opened an office in Dubai.

They also were joined by the largest direct sales women's clothing company in the nation – Carlisle-Etcetera. Tom James Company owns half interest, along with Royal Spirit of Hong Kong, in the company. The acquisition forms the largest direct sales clothing company, internationally.

Tom James operates 105 offices in 36 US states and 5 countries. It owns and operates 3 worsted woolen mills, 8 tailoring facilities and factories and is proud to say 95% of its finished clothing products are made in the USA.

The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace to be Sent to Donors Providing Loans of $25 or More for Entrepreneurs in Developing Countries

Donors giving $25 or more to World Vision Micro will receive a free copy of The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace, a book that helps workers communicate appreciation to their colleagues in meaningful ways.

Authored by Dr. Gary Chapman and Dr. Paul White, the book was recently named one of the top 50 new management books for entrepreneurs.

"A donation to World Vision Micro helps start or expand a business for a hard-working person in a developing country," says White, a psychologist, author, speaker, and business consultant. "Our book helps you take practical steps to make any workplace environment more encouraging and productive."

Both the microloan and White's book empower entrepreneurs, b women's jackets ut in different ways.

Recipients of World Vision Micro are typically women who do not have collateral or a credit history to secure a traditional loan. For example, Jacqueline became the sole provider for her family in Rwanda after her husband, a soldier, was killed. Life got even worse for the widowed mother of five when she lost her teaching job.

"That's when we heard about (World Vision Micro) giving small loans," she says.

With a loan and business training, Jacqueline opened a restaurant along with two other widows. It quickly became the most popular eatery in town.

"Because of the loan, my children have food to eat," Jacqueline says. "They have clothes. They go to school. Our community is really happy."

The workplace community at the Canadian Red Cross in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, has also seen its happiness grow. It increased employees' understanding of each other with The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace.

April McBride, a Canadian Red Cross community services coordinator, introduced the book and its lessons as part of an office wellness program.

When McBride first explained what she was doing, there were a few grumbling comments, including, "I hope this doesn't take long." But that soon changed.

McBride gave everyone his or her own code, which comes with the book. She then sent them back to their computers to take the online "Motivating By Appreciation Inventory." The 15-minute test assessed individuals' preferences for how they are best encouraged and feel appreciated at work.

The results identified each person's primary and secondary "language" in the workplace among five possibilities:

-- Words of affirmation
-- Quality time
-- Acts of service
-- Tangible gifts
-- Physical touch

Each person received a nine-page document describing the results of their individual inventory. It included tips on how team members can encourage an employee in his or her primary language. For example, a person whose primary language is "acts of service" will feel more appreciated if he or she receives help accomplishing tasks that will assist in getting a project done more quickly.

Information from the individual inventories was put into an office profile available to everyone. McBride says those initially skeptical employees became quite animated and enthusiastic when they learned how knowledge of a colleague's primary language could help energize and motivate them.

The book uses symbols to designate each primary language. McBride cut out, laminated, and posted the symbols on the office door of each employee.

"When you see the symbol it's just a quick reminder," says McBride. "If you know, for example, that `words of affirmation' is a person's language you might give a few kind words, even if it feels a little awkward at first. It's not rocket science but it is effective and it's very easy to apply."

The MBA Inventory showed McBride's primary language is "quality time." This helped her understand why she feels so valued as a person and as an employee when her supervisor stops by her office to talk for a few minutes.

McBride and other employees scoring high for "quality time" now eat lunch together at least twice a week.

"We now know that's what builds us up," says McBride. "It's about being intentional with each other."

Overall, McBride sees increased harmony and satisfaction in her workplace. "The rewards and benefits of this will be long lasting," she says.

"I wish every workplace had this. People would want to go to work. People would be more productive and excited about different tasks. They would feel motivated."

Separation Anxiety In Dogs

Separation anxiety is one of the most common problems that dogs develop. Its an anxiety disorder, and is defined as a state of intense panic brought on by the dogs isolation or separation from her owner. In other words, when you leave for work in the morning, your dog is plunged into a state of nervous anxiety which intensifies extremely quickly. Dogs are social animals they need plenty of company and social interaction to keep them happy and content. No dog likes to be left alone for long stretches of time, but some dogs do a lot worse than others and these are the ones most prone to separation anxiety. There are a number of contributing causes to the condition.

Some breeds are genetically predisposed towards anxiety and insecurity, which is something you should consider when deciding which breed you are going to go for particularly if you are going to be absent for long stretches of time. A few of these breeds include Weimaraners, Springer Spaniels, German Shepherds, and Airedales. A significant proportion of dogs from shelters develop separation anxiety. Most of these shelter dogs have undergone significant trauma in their lives they have been abandoned by their previous owners and thus they have little trust that their new found owner.

Dogs that were separated from their mothers and siblings too early have been identified as being especially prone to separation anxiety. Puppies from pet stores are a perfect example of this. They are usually taken from their mothers well before the earliest possible age which is 8 weeks, and confined to a small glass box in the pet store for anywhere between a few weeks to two months. This early weaning, coupled with the lack of exercise and affection while in the pet store, is psychologically traumatic for the dog.

Neglect is the number one cause of sepration anxiety for dogs. If you are absent much more than you are present in your dogs life, separation anxiety is pretty much inevitable. Your dog needs your company, affection, and attention in order to be happy and content. The symptoms of separation anxiety are pretty distinctive. Your dog will usually learn to tell when you are about to leave, she wll hear keys jingling, will see you putting on your outdoor clothes, and will become anxious. She may follow you from room to room, whining, trembling, and crying. Some dogs even become aggressive, in an attempt to stop their owners from leaving.

When you have left, the anxious behavior will rapidly worsen and usually will peak within half an hour. She may bark incessantly, scratch and dig at windows and doors, an attempt to escape from confinement and reunite herself with you, chew inappropriate items, even urinate and defecate inside the house. In extreme cases, she might self mutilate by licking or chewing her skin until its raw, or pulling out fur or will engage in obsessive compulsive behaviors, like spinning and tail chasing.

Upon your return, she will be excessively excited, and will leap around you in a frenzy of delight for a protracted period of time more than the 30 seconds to one minute of a happy, well balanced dog. This extended greeting is a source of some misunderstanding without realizing that such a greeting actually signifies the presence of a psychological disorder, some owners actually encourage their dog to get more and more worked up upon their return by fuelling the dogs excitement, encouraging her to leap around, paying her protracted attention, and so on.

If you are behaving in this way with your dog, please stop. I know its tempting and very easy to do, and it seems harmless after all, she is so happy to see you, what harm c women's jackets an it do to return her attention and affection in equal measure? but in actuality, you are just validating her belief that your return is the high point of the day. So she is as happy as Larry when you return but, when its time for you to leave again, her now exaggerated happiness at your presence is under threat, and she gets even more unhappy when you walk out that door. Fortunately, there are things you can do to minimize your dogs tendency towards anxiety. Here is a short list of what to do.

Do exercise the heck out of her. Really wear her out, the longer you expect to be away, the more exercise she should get before you leave. For example, if you are leaving for work in the morning, she will probably be by herself for at least four hours and, if you have got a dog walker to take her out mid day instead of coming back yourself, she will not see you, the person she really cares about for at least nine hours. So she needs a good, vigorous walk fifteen to twenty minutes is the absolute minimum here, before you walk out that door. More is even better.

Distract her from her boredom, loneliness, and anxiety by giving her an attractive alternative to pining, pacing, and whining. All dogs love to chew, why not play on this predisposition? Get a couple of marrowbones from the butcher, bake them in the oven for 20 minutes so they go nice and hard and crunchy and so she can not smear marrow all over your furniture, slice them up into chunks of a few inches long, and give her one about 15 minutes before you leave. It will keep her happy and occupied, and will act as a smokescreen for your departure.

When you leave, put the radio on to a soothing station, classical music is ideal, but any station featuring lots of talk shows is also ideal. Keep the volume quite low, and it will calm her down a bit and give her the feeling that she has got company. If at all possible, supply her with a view. If she can see the world going by, thats the next best thing to being out and about in it.

Acclimatize her to your leaving. Taking things nice and slowly, practice getting ready to go, jingle your keys about, put on your coat, and open the door. Then without leaving sit back down and do not go anywhere. Do this until shes not reacting any more. When there are no reaction, give her a treat and lavish praise for being so brave. Next, practice actually walking out the door and returning immediately, again doing this until there are no reaction. Gradually work up, gradually being the operative word here until you are able to leave the house with no signs of stress from her.

Do not act overtly sympathetic when she is crying. Although it sounds very cold hearted, trying to soothe and comfort your dog by patting her and cooing over her is actually one of the worst things you can do. Its essentially validating her concern. Make sure she can not tell that you feel sorry for her, do not ever say, its ok, good girl when she is upset.

Who Is My Hero

Bombs exploded across the night sky lighting up the world with hot fiery bursts of red. A loud sonic boom awakened the sleeping people to the reality of war.

Fear perpetrated the hearts of those who were not prepared. Horror lined the faces of those who survived the first attack. Terror overwhelmed their thoughts because it was only a matter of time and their lives would soon be over.

The Lord God Almighty looked down upon the ragging firestorm and took flight into the night air abandoning the perfection of Heaven to fight for the children He loved. God strapped on His sword of righteousness and waged a great battle against the evil serpent of the world.

The Devil incited evil people with a plan to destroy goodness from the world. Their bombs pelted every good country destroying those who fought for justice. Burning up lands and kingdoms for the sake of conquest.

The people cried out in one voice, pleads for a Savior to defeat the Devil's rampage on the earth. They shouted all in unison, the question, "Who Is My Hero? Who can save us from the anti-Christ?"

Isaiah 59: 14&15a, "Justice is driven away, and right cannot come near. Truth stumbles in the public square, and honesty finds no place there. There is so little honesty that anyone who stops doing evil finds himself the victim of crime."

The bombs threaten extinction of all human life. The murderous threats of evil explode igniting fighting on every single shore. No one is safe, cry the people. No one is able to defend his house from the ravages of war.

The people cry out all in unison, "Who Is My Hero? Who will save us from the Anti-Christ?"

Isaiah 59: 15a-18, "The Lord has seen this, and he is displeased that there is no justice. He is astonished to see that there is no one to help the oppressed. So he will use his own power to rescue them and to win the victory. He will wear justice like a coat of armor and saving power like a helmet. He will clothe himself with the strong desire to set things right and to punish and avenge the wrongs that people suffer. He will punish his enemies according to what they have done, even those who live in distant lands."

Every house was abandoned. Every church was destroyed. Every person in all the nations of the world, left to flee and find cover in caves found high in the mountains and hills.

All trembled at the sounds of battle that ragged around the countries destroying all earthly good from the world. School buses were exploding and schools were crumbling as the fighting grew more and more fierce.

All justice was ended. All courthhouses destroyed. All governments demolished from the unending bombs that threatened to fatten the world.

The people trembled and they all cried out in unison, "Who is my Hero? Who will save us from the evil serpent of this world?"

Isaiah 63: 1-5, "'Who is this coming from the city of Bozrah in Edom? Who is this so splendidly dressed in red, marching along in power and strength?'
It is the Lord, powerful to save, coming to announce his victory.
'Why is his clothing so red, like that of a man who tramples grapes to make wine?'
The Lord answers, 'I have trampled the nations like grapes, and no one came to help me. I trampled them in my anger, and their blood has stained all my clothing. I decided that the time to save my people had come; it was time to punish their enemies. I was amazed when I looked and saw that there was no one to help me. But my anger made me strong, and I won the victory myself.'"

The people rejoiced as the bombs ended and the earth took on a more glories form. The Lord most High had come down from Heaven women's jackets to save them from the evil serpents power.

God's Magnificent strength filled the lands of the world once again with justice, truth and hope. Jesus ruled the countries with love. He reached down to every single person and wiped away their tears.

Families once again flourished in peace and safety. Godly children with moral convictions arise bringing joy to their parents. People lived long lives unafraid of sickness and disease.

All weapons of war were stock-piled and burned. All bombs defused. All forms of hate ended.

The people rejoiced and sang praises. All children of the earth celebrated the triumph of the Lord's mighty battle on the earth.

They all shouted in unison, "The Lord God Almighty Is My Hero!"
